I developed a curriculum for teachers to use, to introduce
archaeology in a classroom environment. I found that although
archaeology was offered in many public schools, the definition for
archaeology and emphasis on preservation really varied. Therefore,
the education committee for the Council For Maryland Archeology
developed a curriculum which is available on loan for a small fee.
The curriculum covers basic terms and has exercises, etc on different
aspects of archeology: like research, artifacts, interviewing.
One of the things I noticed when talking with other
instructors was the need for handouts or overheads to prepare
students before they attend events or to follow-up once students have
returned.

Good luck and I am interested in hearing more about it.
