The moravians were active in Australia as well. The Superintendant later
Governor of Victoria C.J. La Trobe had moravian connections. Later several
moravian missions to the Aboriginies were set up. Lots of Government officals
were suspicious of the moravians as they were seen as some sort of German
agents.
 
Ron Southern was doing a Ph D thesis on the moravians he is (was?) contactable
through the Department of Archaeology, La Trobe University, Bundoora,
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. You could try asking whoever is at the end of
[log in to unmask] (which should be the Archaeology Department at La
Trobe) where he is.
