Dr. Michael Waters of Texas A&M University has recently
been conducting research and excavations on a POW at
Herne, Texas.   The camp was primarily for German prisoners,
but also held some Japanese POWs if I recall.  Mike Waters
can be contacted through the Dept of Anthropology, Texas A&M
at (409) 845-5242.   The research just began this academic year,
so I doubt there is anything published on it yet.
