Subject: Historic Spillway inquery

We are currently working on a project here in Fort Worth and just recorded a
historic dam and spillway which according to the deeds research and
newspaper articles was originally built in 1907, then fixed in 1909 after
washing out. Additionally, we know that the spillway was worked on again in
1964 by the then landowner. This lake was built as a private club lake and
was largely keep out of the public's eye for nearly 100 years. The private
club that owned the property sold it in 1958 to a single landowner, who
enjoyed the property until his passing in the 1990s. We are looking to see
if anyone may be able to help identify some features of the spillway and
possibly reasons for some of the later additions. If you would like, contact
me off list and I can share more as well as pictures and maps.
