The library recently received a book by John Stealey, "Antebellum
Kanawha salt business and western markets" ; U. Press of Kentucky, 1993.
It looks like an economic or business history but goes in some depth in
to the marketing and manufacturing processes. Dust jacket says Stealey
is a history prof at Shepherd College.
