Would you please any post period accounts or references you recieve on
HISTARCH?
 
We have been working on a series of late 19th/early 20th c excavations in the
San Francisco Bay area (Oakland) and in Los Angeles and have recovered these
same bottles and many toothbrushes...some of which have been marked.  To date
I have not tracked down any information on the toothbrushes.
 
While dental hygiene represents a very small portion of our recovered
artifacts, they do seem to be in every type of household and also are
represented in the Los Angeles brothels.
