Does anybody know of any good references or publications concerning the
following battles/skirmishes of the American Revolution? These are the
Battle of Princeton (Trenton ?), NJ, January 3, 1777; Abraham Van Nest (Van
Nest Mills?), NJ, January 20, 1777; and Millstone (Millstone Creek?), NJ,
June 17, 1777. Information on the major battles like Trenton, Guilford
Courthouse, Cowpens, Saratoga, etc., are readily available; but I can't find
much on these smaller battles or skirmishes. I am tracking a Revolutionary
War soldier named Robert Dunlap who was a wagoner and blacksmith for the
historical background of an archaeological report. The National Archives and
New Jersey State Department, Records Management Division, have very little
regarding this individual or the above named battles other than Trenton.
