I found one in the deposits of a tavern turned fur trading station at 
Arkansas Post.  The deposits are mostly late 18th and early 19th century 
in age.  My MA thesis was published in 1978 by the Arkansas 
Archeological Survey, Research Series Number 11, and illustrates the 
find.  The seal is similar to yours, but from Marseilles.  A Bordeaux 
seal was reported by Mendel Peterson, 1969, History Under the Sea: a 
manual for underwater exploration. Smithsonian Press.
