For hotel china, I go to RESTAURANT CHINA by Barbara J. Conroy, a set of
two volumes. Collector Books, 1999. There is also COLLECTOR'S
ENCYCLOPEDIA OF AMERICAN DINNER WARE by Jo Cuningham, Collector Books, 1982.
And, TURN OF THE CENTURY AMERICAN DINNERWARE, 1880s TO 1920s, by Joanne
Jasper, Collector Books, 1996. But not much to help you on hand-painted wares.

There are also some hand-painted products in SOUTHERN POTTERIES INC. BLUE
RIDGE DINNERWARE, by Betty and Bill Newbound, also Collector Books, 1980.
And a few in THE WARNER COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO NORTH AMERICAN POTTERY AND
PORCELAIN, by Ellen and Bert Denker, Main Street Press, 1982.

Hope this might help a little bit -

Best to you,
Roberta
