Peter Dorni Clay Tobacco Pipe References:   Omwake, H. Geiger   1961 Peter Dorni White Kaolin Pipes. Bulletin of the Archaeological Society of New Jersey 1               8-19:12-15.   Pfeiffer, Michael A.   1982 Clay Tobacco Pipes and the Fur Trade of the Pacific Northwest and the No rthern Plains.              M.A. Thesis, University of Idaho, Moscow.              An almost complete specimen was recovered from Fort Union Trading P ost, North Dakota.               Example is missing only the rear of the bowl. It illustrated on pa ge 248 (Fig. 42) and               described on page 249. Three more stem fragments were recovered fo r a minimum number               of three individual pipes. Catalog numbers are 5412, 5416D, 4970A,  and 5198D.   Sackett, Richard R.   1943 Historical Clay Pipes of the Minnesota Area. Minesota Archaeologist 9(3) :69-82.               Illustrates an example of Peter Dorni pipe from Fort Ridgely pp. 7 7-78.   Wackman, John   1990 Analysis of Clay Pipes. Wisconsin Archeologist 71(1-2):75-82.                Catalogs, but does not illustrate, 2 Peter Dorni stems from Jacks on House Inn and Tavern,                47KN118. He also mentions that a fragment was recovered from the  Morris D. Cutler             Homestead and another from the Tustin site, 47WN350 (pp. 80).
