Let me put in a qualifying statement here before this whole thing gets out of
control. The original thread of this discussion started on ARTIFACT, not
HISTARCH. I assume that Mike Polk posted to HISTARCH by mistake (Mike, am I
correct?). As a result, the thread that Tom Wheaton is addressing is totally
out of context for this list. I will try and repost the ARTIFACT note that set
Tom off.
