This link is to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Environmental
Services Cultural Resources web site. The web site has recently been updated
and laid out in a user friendly format. It will be useful to those project
managers and team leaders within ODOT who deal with both above ground and
below ground cultural resource compliance issues. The web pages will also be
useful to other state agencies and public institutions that participate in
cultural resource education. The intent of these pages is to provide a brief
education to those who manage publicly owned cultural resources. Please
forward this link to those who would benefit from this type of information.
 
The updated web pages include:
-brief summaries of federal cultural resources laws and regulations with
links to actual legal text and compliance examples (such as 4f documents)
-indices to Oregon Revised State Statues for archaeology and the built
environment
