Dear Histarchers..with apologies for necessary cross-posting:

The <http://maneypublishing.com/index.php/journals/cah> Journal of
Community Archaeology and Heritage will launch its first issue in early
2014, to be published by Maney Publishing. The Editors would like to appoint
one or more Assistant Editors for the journal.

The Assistant Editor will be responsible for organising book, conference and
event reviews, and will undertake any required editing of submissions. They
will also be expected to contribute from time to time to the journal's
associated blog. Our hope is that the Assistant Editor(s) will procure
reviews from a variety of contributors for both published and online
volumes, and will also help to find reviewers for community archaeology
events, conferences, exhibitions and the like. You are required to be able
to work to deadlines, have good communication skills, have an ability to
carry out editorial tasks, and to work remotely as part of a larger
editorial team.

The term of service would be 12 months, renewable if desired, and would
commence immediately upon appointment.

If you are interested in applying, please email
<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
[log in to unmask], titling your message "Reviews Editor
Selection", and including in the text a statement no longer than 500 words
outlining your relevant experience and why you would like to be an Assistant
Editor.

Please not that this is an unpaid (voluntary) post. We are interested in
hearing from those with experience in all areas of archaeology and heritage,
especially as voluntary participants, but also students, paid workers and
researchers.

Please circulate to any friends or colleagues who may be interested in this.

Deadline for expressions of interest is 31st May 2013.
