Histarchers,
 A geology (sister discipline!) colleague & friend is likely to spend
the latter part of the summer doing survey work in relatively remote
parts of Suriname and/or Guyana.  Although he is an experienced field
geologist, his work has not included these settings, previously.

 Is there anyone with experience working in either of these countries
who would be willing to share information via e-mail to help him get
oriented to the conditions he may encounter in the field there?  If any
one can, please contact me or Dr. Capps <[log in to unmask] > directly.

 I realize that this is a somewhat unorthodox query, but given the
cosmopolitan composition of this list, it could elicit useful
information which would be much appreciated.
