As was said earlier there are two Peter Dorni's one a pipemaker the other a pipe type. Presumably Dorni's pipes were so good or popular they were worth copying (similar to TD pipes). My recolection is that Peter Dorni is mentioned in the Scottish pipe manufacturers pipe type lists published in one of the Archaeology of the Clay Tobacco Pipe series (no 12 or 14 I think).
