Hi everyone,
Just FYI, Michigan Archaeology Day is October 12 at the Michigan Historical Museum in Lansing, MI from 11 AM to 3 PM. The event is free, parking is free, and admission to the museum is also free. Atlatl throwing, flintknapping, presentations, and activities for children are all part of the event. Over a dozen once-a-year displays ranging from 11,500 year old Paleoindian tools to mid 19th century farmsteads to underwater/maritime research as well as much more will be exhibited by professional and avocational archaeologists from around the state.
