Obviously a concern.  However, worlds religions should be viewed in context.  Competing religions (ideologies) will always clash, and, unless a tenous truce is drawn, one will defeat/absorb/embellish the other until it is gone or is no longer recognizable.  Hey, could be why old sets of ceramics end up in privies ;-)
