I add my congratulations on a well run and enjoyable conference in York.  It
was Ann and my first trip to Europe and we didn't really know what to expect.
You and your city put on a very good show, Harold.  The museums were
exceptional - I especially liked the Castle Museum.  The tours were equally
interesting and enjoyable, including the city tour and, especially, the Castle Howard
tour with a stop for lunch at a country pub.

The exceptional attendance and overall good experience should give us the
courage to do additional extra-North American ventures in the future.
