Larry and HISTARCH -

OCR stands for Oxidizable Carbon Ratio; the dating technique has been
developed by Doug Frink of the Archaeological Consulting Team in Essex
Junction, VT. They have a website at
http://members.aol.com/dsfrink/ocr/ocrpage.htm, and frink will be glad to
discuss the technique with you.

I have made limited use of the technique with mixed results, and others I
know have strong feelings pro and con concerning its validity. But check
it out and see what you think.

I'd be interested in hearing of your's or anyone else's experience with the
method.
