I know of a similar situation that recently occurred in Georgia at the
Hickory Log site near Canton.  Very important site with a wide range of
occupations (Woodstock - Cherokee).  Although I do not know the
particulars, I believe Wal-Mart begrudgingly financed the data recovery.
Nevertheless, a precedent was set there.
