As part of a history class project, one of my students is looking for
information on steam-powered sawmills, and I'm drawing a blank. Lots of
stuff on WATER-POWERED mills, but little on portable, steam mills that
became common in the mid-19th century. We've gotten a few tidbits from the
Association for Preservation Technology Bulletin, but struck out with
Hunter's history of technology collection and indices of Technology and
Culture. Any ideas???
