Hi, I'm Vito Vaccarelli a graduate student at Trent University in
Peterborough Ontario and a BA graduate of the University of Toronto.
I am currently completing my MA thesis which will eventually
examine the changing socio-economic status (for the lack of a better
term), of a Scottish-Loyalist family in early to late
19th century Ontario. I hope to accomplish this through the integrated
analysis of the documentary, architectural, and archaeological
(ceramics, cutlery, and buttons) records of the site.
My interests in historical archaeology tend to be very wide, however I
like to focus on aspects of landscape archaeology (landscape
constructions), as well as computer graphic applications in material
culture illustration and in archaeological research in general.
A majority of my field work has been on 19th century Britishh
military sites, with some work on urban domestic houses in the province.
