- Archaeological Field Assistants -
 
HUNTER RESEARCH, INC. is accepting applications for Archaeological Field
Assistants for upcoming fall and winter fieldwork in the Mid-Atlantic and
Northeast United States. Specific projects anticipated to be active through
the end of 1997 include a large-scale survey of portions of the Fort Dix
Military Reservation and multi-site data recovery operations along the Route
29 corridor in Trenton, NJ. Please note that projects within a 50 mile
radius of Trenton generally do not pay per diem.
 
 
- Principal Investigator -
 
HUNTER RESEARCH, INC. has an immediate opening for a Principal Investigator
with specialization in prehistoric studies. Ability to conduct historic
archaeological studies at the Phase I and II level helpful.  The position is
based in Trenton, NJ but projects will be conducted throughout the Middle
Atlantic region.
 
Minimum requirements: M.A. in Archaeology or Anthropology.  The successful
candidate will be able to work as part of a team, have strong writing
skills, and have a minimum of 1 year experience at the Principal
Investigator level in a CRM firm.  Initial 6 month to 1 year contract,
starting as soon as possible.  Rate negotiable, based on experience.

- Principal Investigator -
 
HUNTER RESEARCH, INC. is also seeking an exceptional individual at the
Principal Investigator level with overall responsibility for maintaining and
enhancing the content of the company's techical reports. Reporting directly
the company Prinicipals, the main focus of the position will be the
technical editing of text produced by other senior staff, and the writing of
analytical and summary chapters, culminating in the production of
high-quality, consistent and contractually-appropriate reports.
 
The successful candidate will have wide-ranging experience (over a number of
years) in all aspects of cultural resource management (perferably in
for-profit consulting firms), outstanding writing and editorial abilities,
good interpersonal skills,  a demostrated ability to work as part of a team,
and a clear understanding of the role and importance of reports in the CRM
process.  This will be an office-based manangement position and will not
afford opportunites for fieldwork.
 
Applicants must have a M.A. or higher in Archaeology, History or a closely
related field, and should send a current resume, three references, and a
statement of how they would approach the position to the address below.
