This e-mail is in part response to the stoneware question and also to see
if my message gets scrambled. George and I work together so if the problem
is our server it should show up with this message--leaving all questions of
cats and dogs aside (although we do have office cats that live outside of
George's window).
Lee, could you please give some more details about the jug. Does it have
both brown and white slips? Is the brown color a body color or a slip
color? What is its overall shape? Brown jugs were ubiquitous from about
1750 to 1950 in various forms.
