Dear Ed Otter,

Since no one's mentioned any archaeological surveys so far, I thought I
would mention that Victoria Bunker and Faith Harrington produced a report
on WWII coastal installations (primarily elements of the coastal defense
system) in and around Portsmouth harbor (New Hampshire). I imagine this is
on file with the NH Division of Historic Preservation in Concord. Richard
Candee's book, Atlantic Heights, is an architectural study of a WWII
housing development in Portsmouth.

Cheers,
Mary B.
