Howdy VivanLea!

It is a USDA Forest Service address on the old DG (Data General) system. Most
Forest Service untis have changed over to the newer IBM 615 system but some
have not. The change has been in progress for three years and is scheduled to
be Completed by the end of this coming January.

In this case, his computer people have "autofowarded" his e-mail from the DG
system to the IBM system. What he SHOULD have done is to unsubscribe from his
old address and resubscribe to the Histarch list (and any other lists) from his
new address. The new system forces e-mail messages to be divided into three
groups: 1 to Forest Service IBM systems, 1 to the old Forest Service DG system,
and a third to those nasty outsiders on the internet. I will try and contact
him and see what I can do about.
