The **JOURNAL OF MATERIAL CULTURE** is a new interdisciplinary journal
concerned with the relationship between artefacts and social relations
irrespective of time and place. It aims to systematically explore the
linkage between the construction of social identities and the production
and use of material culture.

Manuscripts should be submitted in triplicate, typed (or word processed) in
double-spacing on one side of paper only. Their length should not normally
exceed 8,000 words. Each submission will be refereed
anonymously by at least two referees.
