*New Directions and Approaches for Late Medieval and Post-Medieval Archaeology in Germany, Britain and Ireland*
German Maritime Museum, Bremerhaven, Germany 20 - 23 September 2017

Programme and booking now online at http://www.spma.org.uk/events/bremerhaven2017/

The Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology and the German Society for Medieval and Post-Medieval Archaeology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Archäologie des Mittelalters und der Neuzeit, DGAMN) are coming together for the first time for a joint conference. Both societies pursue similar goals, and the main objective of this conference is to bring the two organisations and their members closer together in order to facilitate potential future collaborations and projects.

The conference programme, with its wide range of papers, is now online. Conference registration is only 50 Euro (including lunches and refreshments), with optional extras including conference dinner on board the 'Seute Deern' (the world’s largest wooden cargo sailing ship still in existence) and a full day excursion to Bremen, to visit the Valentin submarine factory and its protective shelter (U-Boot-Bunker Valentin) and archaeological sites in the surrounding area.

There's also room for a couple more posters - find out more on the conference webpage: http://www.spma.org.uk/events/bremerhaven2017/
