Dear All,

I hope that this is an appropriate use of the list.

The Department of Archaeology and Prehistory, University of Sheffield
wishes to appoint an historical archaeologist. The term "historical
archaeologist" should be considered in its widest possible sense. The
person appointed should be active in research in periods where there
are both archaeological and documentary sources. The person appointed
should complement the Department's existing strengths in
classical and medieval archaeology and landscape archaeology.

Intending applicants should immediately arrange for three references
to be sent directly to Professor Keith Branigan, Department of
Archaeology and Prehistory, University of Sheffield, Sheffield, S10
2TN, U.K..

Details on application procedures should also be obtained from
The Director of Human Resource Management,
The University of Sheffield,
Western Bank,
Sheffield,

U.K. - Contact e-mail - [log in to unmask]
