Hello all,

Last summer, the MTU field school excavated at a mid-nineteenth century
copper mine site in Michigan's Upper Penninsula. Leather fragments
(including boot uppers or leggings) and textile fragments were recovered
from trash and drainage deposits. The soil was moist and contained copper
residues. This probably aided organic preservation. I am looking for
publications (monographs, journals, etc.), conservators, or internet
resources (if any) that address leather and textile conservation.
Thanks in advance.
