I would like to STRONGLY echo George's congratulations to
Rob! Rob has contributed a most useful forum for the
discussion of ceramics of all kinds and the volumes are
mandatory reading for all of us interested in the world of
ceramic history and technology. The range of topics and
approaches is phenomenal and the breadth and erudition
displayed by many of the longer pieces is incredible!It is
just such a project which has injected life and hope into a
field which is the largest single material culture data base
for historical archaeologists.Rob also needs our suppot in
this endeavor and we should do that in every way imaginable;
most importantly by encouraging others to purchase these
beautifully produced, lavishly illustrated, and textually
exciting volumes. Kudos to Rob Hunter and the Chipstone
Foundation!!    DG Orr
