From what I’ve read, these objects date to the 18th century. I know of Peterson’s “American Indian Tomahawks” from 1971 as well as publications related to this specific find (e.g., Voices from the Rapids by Wheeler et al. 1975). If you know of any other sources, I would greatly appreciate it if you would please let me know.  All the best,
