Mary: Have you found George Avery's volume on colonial enameled wares? I see Rob Mann and others have suggested it. Texas by the time of the revolution was flooded with pearlware and other English products. I think the last6 faience to come into this part of the Gulf Coast waslikely Rouen faience, faience brune in particular. The traders Davenport and Barr at Nacogdoches were connected to the traders on the Gulf coast in Alabama and Georgia. Several varieties of Spanish-Mexican majolica lasted longer than the faiences.
