For those of you conducting research on beads, I would like to point out
that X-Rite has just printed the Munsell Bead Color Book which contains 176
color swatches representing the bead colors recorded to date in
archaeological and ethnographic collections. At $165.00 + postage
(suggested retail price), it is a much cheaper alternative to the full
Munsell Book of Color. Amazon offers the book for $159 postpaid but
X-Rite/Munsell have agreed to sell direct for that price as well (a
benefit of ordering direct is that errors in the initial printing are
corrected in the version offered by X-Rite). For more information or to
