In a word, yes.  The 6th, in particular, is awesome.  I compared it with
Kertesz and Kubelik and prefer Chung.  I found myself air-conducting and
singing along.  The 8th faces strong competition from Bruno Walter and
Szell (EMI or SONY) but is still very good.
