Deryk Barker:

>Ah but Bach is arguably different. Is there *any* bad Bach? I'd say not.
>But I could point you to bad Beethoven, et. al.

One of my professors used to say that "every composer has his shitpile -
including Bach." However, he graciously admitted that all the bad works
were merely attributed to Bach, rather than known for certain as written
by Bach.

I can certainly point to Bach I don't care for, but it's almost all
juvenalia like the "Capriccio on the Departure of a Beloved Brother" or
the concerto after Corelli. I certainly can't say any of it is badly
written, however.
