I seem to recall that William Steinberg's Ninth with the Pittsburgh
Symphony, part of a complete Beethoven set of Command LPs, used the Mahler
revisions at least in part.  Whether or not this has ever made it to CD I
don't know.  Last time I mentioned this a lively discussion of Steinberg
ensued--but I can't recall whether that was on this List or on the
Mahler-list...
