Dear Folks, Those who are interested in having in their collections an
excellent production of Bizets Carmen on DVD need no look further: try
the David McVicars Glyndebourne production (BBC Opus Arte), with Anne
Sofie von Otter in th title role, Marcus Haddock as Don Jose, Lisa Milne
as Micaela and Laurent Naouri as Escamillo.  The conductor is the young
Philipphe Jordan, who conducts the London Philharmonic brilliantly.  Ive
never seen a Carmen so sexy, so beautiful, so charming!  Anne Sofie von
Otter is Carmen!  What a magnificent artist this woman is!
