My thanks to Roger Hecht for providing us the uplifting information of a
long-standing opera broadcast that no station of any size in Boston wants
to air.

WCRB is going to cancel out because of advertising monies - WGBH won't
pick it up because of its tradition of providing folk music on Saturday
afternoon (does anyone still listen to folk music?) - WHRB and its 6,000
watts is willing to pick up the broadcast.

This appears to be heading towards the "lights out-power off" category.
And it's in BOSTON, home of the elite, where high art would be expected
to flourish. WHRB will have to hire more mice to drive the power stations.
