Regarding Don Satz's request for worthwhile recordings of Falla's Nights in
the Gardens of Spain:

This kind of music was a speciality of Rubinstein's.  However, you have to
be careful which recording you get:  I have heard two, one from the 1940's,
with Vladimir Goldschmann (?), which was very impressive - bold and fiery,
very much in primary colours - and one from the 1950's, which, like many
of his concerto recordings from that time (with Wallenstein, Krips etc)
was rather tired and undisciplined.

While I have not heard it, the recording by Clara Haskil is, despite that
one tends to associate her with very different repertoire, supposed to be
very beautiful.  Alicia de Larrocha is of course also likely to be very
idiomatic in this piece, and it is almost certain that she recorded it.
There is also a live recording by Gieseking which I remember being very
impressed by, on a Pearl CD (A Gieseking Retrospective, I think) -
certainly much more vital than his studio recordings from that time
(1950's).

These are just a few possibilities from the top of my head.
