I'm not convined that Satie ever meant the 840x instruction seriously;
but Vexations has been performed as a musical event fairly regularly...
the local composer Kar-Fai Samson Young (http://www.karfai.com) & the C21
New Music Festival (http://www.c21music.org) led a group performance (ie,
sequential pianists...  the score HAS been performed straight by single
soloists; but not often) of it here in Sydney only a couple of months ago.

I even have a complete midi of the complete score, if you happen to have
24 hrs to spare....
