Can we count Hindemith's

"Overture to the Flying Dutchman as Played by a Second-Rate Concert
Orchestra at the Village Well at 7 O'Clock in the Morning for String
Quartet"

? It's pretty...unforgettable. Not really in the same vein though, as
Sinatra sings Mozart. Plus it's out on CD.

My other nomination is the Bach Boure'e on Jethro Tull's "Stand Up." Its
all jazzed up, it swings, its arranged for flute and pop band, and in 12/8.
I think on it often.
