In a former life, I was program director at Minnesota Public Radio and
subsequently at American Public Radio (now Public Radio International).
For many years I observed broadcasting's tendency to pat itself on the
back.

If there is an area of commerce which awards more prizes to itself than
radio, I would like to know what that might be.

The George Foster Peabody awards might be one notable exception.
