I think you mean the Romanian violinist Silvia Marcovici: if so, then:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silvia_Marcovici
http://www.andersmanagement.com/sosmarcovici.htm

I heard her playing in Romania years ago: wonderful, warm, golden tone
and a ... daring and heartfelt interpretation, if I may say. She studied
in Bucharest with Stefan Gheorghiu. In 1969 she won first prize in the
Long/Thibaud Competition in Paris; in 1970 she won first prize in the
George Enescu Competition in Bucharest. The Sibelius you downloaded
must be under Neeme Jarvi.

If you like the Romanian violin school, then allow me to recommend you
another outstanding Romanian (later Belgian) violinist: Lola Bobescu
(or Bobesco):

And, of course, everybody remembers the great George Enescu (Enesco) ...

P.S. Marcovici should never be spelt Marcovicci.

Hope this helps,
