Greetings to the list.  I very much enjoy listening to instrumental music
from the baroque and classical periods.  I have had very little exposure to
operas.  Those I've heard have been by 19th Century composers, and I never
really enjoyed the music.  I would like to broaden my musical experience by
exploring some operas of the baroque period.  I'm wondering if anyone can
offer some suggestions as to where I might start?
