Although he's not my cup of tea, I'd be hard pressed to come up with a
more passionate cellist than Mischa Maisky who has also recorded the
Elgar Cello Concerto.

Personally, I find Casals' performances much more concentrated than
Maisky's, and I also think that Maisky is overly indulgent when it comes
to matters of the heart.  But Maisky is a bundle of passion, so go for
it.
