Meira Warshauer has devoted much of her creative output to Jewish themes
and their universal message. She writes, 'The Torah, Jewish teaching and
tradition, is likened to water. It is the source of blessing and goodness,
filling all who drink from its well with the knowledge of God. I hope
this recording will help to satisfy our thirst and encourage us to
continue opening our hearts to the Eternal Spirit in each of us.'

The CD was recorded in Bratislava, Slovakia, by the Slovak Radio
Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonic Chorus conducted by Kirk Trevor,
with soloists Stephanie Gregory, soprano, Jennifer Hines, mezzo soprano,
Michael Hendrick, tenor, and Carol Potter, narrator. Read a review of
the disk at http://www.cvnc.org/reviews/cd_dvd_book/cd/Warshauer.html.

Meira Warshauer's compositions have been performed and recorded to
critical acclaim throughout the United States and in Israel, Europe,
South America, and Asia. She has received numerous awards from ASCAP as
well as the America Music Center, Meet the Composer, and was twice awarded
the Artist Fellowship in Music by the SC Arts Commission (1994 and 2005).
In 2000, she received the first Art and Cultural Achievement Award from
the Jewish Historical Society of South Carolina.

Dr. Warshauer is a Visiting Lecturer at Columbia College, Columbia, South
Carolina. Her CDs include Streams in the Desert, oratorios for orchestra,
