I must be missing something.  It makes little sense to me to blame
Tommasini for the turnoff of the public to classical music, since most
likely the only people who read Tommasini are people with an interest in
the first place.

Also, does Tommasini really control or even influence what gets put on,
or is he outside most programming decisions, even in NYC?
