Gramercy Brass Orchestra of New York in Brass Band Camp Finale Concert
on July 26

The Gramercy Brass Orchestra of New York, John Henry Lambert, Music
Director, will be in concert with students from its annual Brass Band
Camp on Saturday, July 26 - 3 PM at Caldwell College, 120 Bloomfield
Avenue in Caldwell, New Jersey

This Camp finale concert will feature brass band masterworks drawn from
the Gramercy Brass's large repertoire.  More than 70 students, from
grades 4 through 12, will perform side-by-side with the full Gramercy
Brass Orchestra.

Speical guest performer will be Jason D. Ham, euphonium virtuoso from

The Gramercy Brass Orchestra of New York is a unique ensemble of
28 leading professional brass and percussion instrumentalists in the
New York arts community.  Founded in 1982 by John Henry Lambert, Gramercy
Brass was twice the First Place winner of the North American Brass Band
Competitions (1984 and 1985) and 1994 recipient of the Lincoln Center
Community Arts Award, which let to its acclaimed Alice Tully Hall debut
in May of 1995, with guest artists, the Marvin Stamm Jazz Quartet. 
The New York Times has dubbed Gramercy Brass 'The Ultimate in Pomp and
Circumstance!' Performing on the instruments of the traditional brass
band, the Gramercy Brass Orchestra reigns as one of the leading ensembles
of its kind in America today.

Tim Page of The Washington Post writes, 'Everything about the (Gramercy
Brass Orchestra) program, stuck me as first class, and the proof was in
the playing!' The Gramercy Brass is based in the Gramercy-Flatiron
neighborhood of New York City, and is the host ensemble of the Flatiron
Festival of Music, a collaboration with the 23rd Street Association,
supported by Time Warner Cable and other major area businesses.

The Gramercy Brass Orchestra of NY has two CDs on Koch International
Classics.  A third Koch CD devoted to the music of renowned American
composers Dave and Chris Brubeck is planned for release in 2008.
