I agree with Steve's assesment of this disc. It is marvelous. I was a
little suprised that he didn't mention Lieberson's Handel recital disc
on Avie with Bicket and The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment- this
is one of the most beautiful and moving discs I know and has several
arias from Theodora as well as the Cantata La Lucrezia and an incomparable
Ombra Mai Fu. This and the Bach cantata disc are desert island material
IMO.
